Google Ads Management for Small Business

73% of small business ad campaigns fail.
Yours doesn't have to.

It's not Google Ads that doesn't work. It's who's managing it. I treat your ad budget like it's my own money — every dollar tracked, every decision backed by data.

I Know What Went Wrong

These aren't guesses. These are the specific, measurable failures I find in almost every account I audit.

What Went Wrong

88% of your keywords produced zero sales.

The average account generates all its revenue from just 12% of its keywords. The other 88% consumed 61% of your budget. Nobody flagged it because nobody was looking.

Every Month Without Data, You Burn More Money

This isn't an opinion. These are the measured costs of running ads without someone watching the numbers.

$5.26/click

Average CPC in 2026 — up 13% year over year. Every irrelevant click costs more than it did last year.

WordStream
$70/lead

Average cost per lead across Google Ads. If you can't tell which leads came from which keywords, you're spending $70 per guess.

PPC.io
25%

Of the average small business PPC budget is wasted on irrelevant clicks, poor targeting, and unmonitored campaigns.

Search Engine Land
73%

Of small business PPC campaigns fail outright. Not underperform — fail. Most of them didn't have to.

iMarkInfotech

On average, I find over $1,000 in wasted spend in the last 90 days. Google Ads isn't broken. The person running yours is.

Find Out What You're Losing

It's Not Google Ads. It's Who's Running Them.

The platform works. The problem is the layer between you and Google.

Agencies lock you into long contracts, inflate your spend, and hide behind dashboards you can't verify. You deserve to see exactly where every dollar goes — and to fire anyone who can't show you.

Google's "optimization" suggestions are designed to increase your spending. Reps earn commission on the changes they get applied. They're salespeople, not advisors.

Junior account managers follow playbooks built for $50K/month accounts. Your $1,500/month account needs surgical precision, not a playbook.

"Set it and forget it" is the industry's open secret. Most small accounts get 30 minutes of human attention per month. The rest is autopilot.

The average agency managing your account has never built a landing page, never set up conversion tracking, and can't tell you which keyword generated your last customer.

Google Ads isn't broken. It's being operated by people who don't understand what they're looking at — and who aren't incentivized to care.

Every Decision Backed by Data. Not Feelings.

I don't guess. I measure, test, and adjust. One variable at a time, every decision documented.

Research before a single dollar is spent

Full day learning your business — customers, competitors, margins, what a good lead actually looks like. Competitive analysis using machine learning tools that surface patterns a human analyst would spend a week finding. Keyword research validated against real search volume data, not assumptions.

Campaign architecture built on math

Match types chosen based on your budget, not Google's suggestions. Negative keyword lists built before launch — not after you've bled money. Ad groups structured so every keyword maps to copy that matches what the searcher actually typed.

Landing pages I write the code for

Custom-built, fast-loading pages with conversion tracking wired in at the code level. Not a template. Not your homepage. A page engineered to turn a click into a lead — and to tell me exactly which keyword sent them.

Daily monitoring, not monthly check-ins

Every day: search term review, bid adjustments, geographic verification, fraud checks. I cross-reference click data with behavioral signals to catch invalid clicks before they drain budget. I've filed claims with Google and gotten money back.

Weekly reports that answer your question

Custom PDF reports built for your business every week — not an automated dashboard nobody reads. How many leads came in. What they cost. Which keywords drove them. Whether the campaign is paying for itself. In plain English, with data you can independently verify in your own Google Ads and Google Analytics accounts.

One variable at a time

I don't change three things and guess which one worked. Test, measure, adjust. When I recommend a change, I'll show you the numbers behind it. Every decision is documented, every result is tracked.

You shouldn't have to trust your PPC manager. You should be able to verify them.

The Standard You Should Expect. And Rarely Get.

Most PPC managers don't verify their own work. That's not a skills gap — it's a standards gap. And it costs you money.

Drops your ad traffic on a template — or worse, your homepage
Dedicated LPs convert 2.8x higher
Builds a dedicated landing page with conversion tracking wired in from day one

62% of PPC pros call platforms a "black box"

Traces it to the keyword, the auction, the time of day, and the competitor who triggered it
Says you got 12 conversions but can't tell you which clicks they came from
Uses click-level data to catch fraud, prove attribution, and trace every lead to its source

End-to-end conversion tracking

GA4, Google Tag Manager, call tracking, offline conversion imports, CRM attribution. Every lead traced from keyword to click to phone call to closed deal. Without this pipeline, you're making budget decisions blind.

Landing pages that actually convert

Fast-loading, purpose-built pages that match your ad copy exactly and track every interaction. No templates, no drag-and-drop builders, no "good enough." Every page is designed to turn a click into a lead.

Fraud detection with click-level data

I pull individual click records with geographic coordinates, timestamps, and device signatures. I've caught bot traffic from international IP ranges, identified competitor clicking patterns, and filed successful invalid click claims with Google.

Daily analysis, not monthly check-ins

Search term review, keyword performance, competitive shifts, and budget pacing — checked every day, not once a quarter. When something changes, I catch it the same day, not three weeks later in a PDF.

Questions You Should Be Asking

If your last PPC manager didn't have clear answers to these, that tells you something.

"How do I know my money isn't being wasted?"

Because I show you. Every report includes which keywords drove leads, what each lead cost, and where the budget went. You'll see search terms — the actual phrases people typed before clicking your ad. If something's wasting money, you'll see me kill it in the next report. No black boxes.

"I got burned by my last agency. Why should I trust you?"

You shouldn't — yet. That's why there's no contract. Month-to-month, cancel anytime. You own your ad account from day one, and you can see everything I do inside it. I'm not asking for trust. I'm asking you to watch the data and decide for yourself.

"Do I need a big budget for Google Ads to work?"

You don't need a huge budget — but you need enough to generate real data. I recommend at least $1,000/month in ad spend. Below that, there aren't enough clicks to tell what's working and what isn't, and you end up making decisions based on noise instead of signal. A $1,500/month campaign managed with surgical keyword targeting will outperform a $5,000/month campaign running broad match on autopilot. I'll tell you straight if your budget doesn't fit your market — before you spend a dollar.

"What if Google Ads just doesn't work for my business?"

Sometimes it doesn't. If I research your market and the math doesn't add up — your margins are too thin, the search volume isn't there, or the CPCs are too high for your ticket size — I'll tell you before we start. I'd rather lose a client than take money for a campaign I know won't work. That's what the initial research day is for.

"Can't I just do this myself?"

You can. Google wants you to try — their interface is designed to get you spending quickly, not spending wisely. The question isn't whether you can click the buttons. It's whether you have time to review search terms daily, build negative keyword lists, monitor for fraud, set up conversion tracking, build landing pages, and cross-reference click data with your actual sales pipeline. Most business owners have a business to run.

"What makes you different from every other PPC person?"

I'm a software developer. I build the landing pages your ads point to, I write the conversion tracking code, I set up the attribution pipelines, and I use machine learning tools to analyze campaigns daily. Most PPC managers manage a dashboard. I manage the entire system underneath it — from ad click to closed deal.

"How long before I see results?"

You'll see data within days — impressions, clicks, search terms. Real performance signals (cost per lead, conversion rate) typically emerge in 2-3 weeks as the campaign collects enough data to optimize against. I won't promise a timeline, but I will show you exactly what's happening and why at every step. No "learning phase" excuses that stretch into months.

"What happens if I want to leave?"

You leave. With your account, your data, your landing pages, your tracking setup, and every report I've ever written for you. There's no contract to cancel, no exit fee, no "transition period" where things mysteriously stop working. Your stuff is your stuff.

This Isn't For Everyone

This is for you if:

  • You're a local business or service company that needs more customers
  • You've run ads before and aren't sure if they worked
  • You're spending $3,000+/month on ads and want to know where every dollar goes
  • You want to talk to the person actually managing your campaigns
  • You're tired of reports you can't understand and results you can't verify

This probably isn't right if:

  • You want the cheapest option regardless of results
  • You want someone to "just set it up" and never discuss it again
  • Your ad budget is under $3,000/month

Why $3,000 minimum? My fee is 20% of your ad spend. Below $3K, the management cost outweighs the return — and I won't charge you for math that doesn't work. This only makes sense when we both win. If your budget grows to that point, I'm here. Until then, I'd rather be honest than take your money.

The Real Math — Including My Fee

Most calculators hide the management cost. This one includes it. Because if the math doesn't work for both of us, I won't take the deal.
